Zemiroth Shabbat & Shabbat Rosh Chodesh

Chazzan is standing on the Teba with tallit, tsibur (congregation) is sitting.

In general, the chazzan recites aloud only the first sentence of each mizmor. The last sentence is sung by the community, and then the by the chazzan. Some sentences in the middle of a mizmor are recited aloud.

[2] On Shabbat haGadol this used not to sung, but nowadays it is sung with the “high Na’um”, the special melody for important portions of the Torah, like the Shira & Ten Commandments.

[3] Hereafter, the Shamash closes the central gates of the synagogue.
